"Voprosy Istorii" history journal presents the answers of the former commander of the 11th Army of the Baltic Special military district Lieutenant General V.I. Morozov to the questions of the Military scientific department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the USSR in 1952. They relate to the circumstances of the deployment of troops of the Western border military districts according to the plan of covering the state border on the eve of the Great Patriotic war. The document is contained in Central Archive of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
