Bioactive constituents of Chinese traditional medicine

Chinese traditional medicine is great and tremendous treasure, an accumulation of experience over thousand of years. China has very rich resources of medical herbs. This paper introduce the studies on the bioactive constituents of Chinese traditional and folk medicines. Among them, some bioactive constituents have been developed and used in clinic as new drugs and other have been studied chemically and pharmacologically in more detail. They may have potential clinical use and now still are in studying, probably will be developed as new drugs and used in clinic in the future.
