摘要：

A novel low-profile monopole mobile phone antenna capable of GSM and DCS dual-band operations is proposed. The monopole antenna is easily constructed by folding a planar meandered patch into a rectangular-tube-like structure, and has a compact size of 9 X 9 X 34 mm(3) for achieving 900- and 1800-MHz operations. Details of the proposed antenna design are described, and experimental results of a constructed prototype are presented and discussed. (C) 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
