摘要
the use of renewable energy in many applications has become an important necessity due to the high price of fuel on the one hand and the great shortage of the national grid in Iraq during the past two decades. The solar powered water pump system consists of solar PV modules, submersible pump, and its control unit. Solar cells have non-linear I-V characteristics and the energy generated depends on the nature of the solar panels and the ambient temperature, and the mismatch of the source and the load leads to a decrease in the efficiency of the system. So it uses MPPT to extract maximum power from the PV panel. Matlab Simulink model was used to design and analyze the PV system as well as the solar powered pump. The results indicate the ability of the MPPT to extract the energy required to operate the pump.
