摘要
In recent years, various algorithms have been proposed to provide security to send multimedia content over insecure data channels. In this paper, an algorithm for image encryption is proposed based on PWLCM chaotic map and a hash algorithm. Chaos is used in several steps to encrypt gray-scale images. The chaotic function is used to create dynamic behavior in some parts of the algorithm. The proposed algorithm performs the encryption at the bit level. Although any hash algorithm can be used in the proposed algorithm, The SHA-1 hash algorithm was used to implement the proposed algorithm. The analysis result shows that the algorithm can reach a high-security efficiency in just one round while the encryption and decryption time is low.
