摘要
Applying theoretical knowledge in engineering practice is a challenge for nowadays students. Engineering education should take advantage of every new technology, fixing any novel acquisition through demonstrations and practice. We have developed an experiment to study the effects of superposed non-sinusoidal currents upon an electrical circuit, using a frequency selective voltmeter. The Fourier transform has been applied to the square input signal and both theoretical and practical results compared. Combining different learning environments, a deeper insight into the nature of electrical waves and phenomena has been gained. The experiment is concluding and can be shared online to students, in times when the access to specialized laboratories is restricted due to the outbreak of a pandemic.
