Multifocal melorheostosis

Sclerosing lesions of bone such as melorheostosis, osteopathia striata, and osteopoikilosis have rather characteristic but overlapping radiographic features with differential bone scan findings. These lesions usually involve a single bone. We present a patient who had radiographic evidence of involvement in at least 2 sites who was shown by bone scintigraphy to have diffuse symmetric involvement of the appendicular skeleton.
