摘要
The aim of this study was to investigate the ability of sodium-modified clinoptilolite from Croatia and Serbia to remove silver ions from aqueous solutions. The mechanism of adsorption process into both zeolites by batch adsorption experiments and ability of zeolites to remove silver ions from aqueous solutions was investigated. The effects of pH, adsorption time, initial metal ion concentration and the desorption treatment were examined. The optimum pH for adsorption was found to be 4,0 and that the process reaching equilibrium in 45 min. Maximum adsorption capacity, 64,72 mg Ag+/g and 82,70 mg Ag+/g zeolite, showed that this adsorbent was excellent for silver ions removal from aqueous media. The desorption of silver from clinoptilolite by use of 0,01 M EDTA was tested.
