Atypical cutaneous mycobacteriosis in a cat. A review of one case

A 6 year-old ct presents a two month-old recurrent wound. The clinical suspicion of atypical cutaneous mycobacteriosis is confirmed by culture, whereas the anatomopathological examination of the biopsy specimens is ambiguous and it appears as a part of the eosinophilic granuloma complex of the cat. By means of bibliography the author both envisages the classification of mycobacteria other than those responsible for tuberculosis and leprosy, which are still called atypical, since the different strains may be subject to suspicion, and also introduces the idea of "dependent species pathogenicity".
