Synthesis, crystal structure and magnetic property of a novel manganese complex [MnL2(NCS)2] [L=4-(p-methylphenyl)-3,5-bis(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole]

摘要
A novel manganese(II) complex with 4-(p-methylphenyl)-3,5-bis(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole (L), [MnL2(NCS)(2)], has been synthesized and its structure characterized by X-ray crystallography, FT-IR and ESI-MS spectroscopy. In the structure there is an inversion center at the manganese(II) atom which is octahedrally coordinated to four nitrogen atoms from two triaryltriazole ligands (L) and nitrogen atoms of two NCS- ions in a trans arrangement. Magnetic measurements show that the complex is high-spin species in the 75similar to300 K range.
