Control volume and system formulations for translating media and stationary media with moving boundaries

摘要
The control volume and systems formulations were investigated for translating media and stationary media with moving boundaries. The rates of change of energies of translating media were distinguished for the purpose. Translating strings and tensioned beams with constant and variable lengths were considered in the analysis. The equations of motion of translating media were derived in the Eulerian frame of reference. The equations of motion of stationary media with moving boundaries were derived in the Lagrangian frame of reference.
