摘要
We report on the second year of Drexel University's continuing process of culture change designed to enhance online teaching and learning, including current successes of the program, and best practices for the development of similar programs. We present an outline for research initiatives designed to validate these successes. The Online Learning Council (OLC) and OLC Fellows have made a noticeable impact and received increasing requests for consultation and peer-course review services. Other University entities, such as the University Faculty Senate and the University Assessment Office, began requesting that the OLC and the OLC Fellows collaborate in ways that broadened the scope of the Fellows' work. The success of these efforts raises challenges in sustainability and resource allocation. Increased exposure of the programs and increasing demand for services also demonstrates the need for development of a comprehensive research and evaluation agenda in order to validate program outcomes across the University community. These will further demonstrate value to the academic enterprise.
