摘要
Historical Linguistics is a very productive branch of linguistics that seeks to study and analyze language changes over time, besides presenting the history and organization of the language in the past. Linguistic change, although generally treated in a functional perspective, has in the formal theory of Generative Grammar an explanation from the process of Language Acquisition. Thus, our objective is to foment a discussion about change as a theoretical object of generative theory, understanding how change is understood in a model of formal linguistic analysis.
