摘要：
Selection of the optimal inspection/maintenance rate from the viewpoint of reliability and cost is an important issue. Generally, this optimization problem is solved using the Markov models. The conventional models do not perfectly conform to real conditions. Hence, they cannot completely satisfy the industrial managers. The present study modifies the modeling procedure through introducing the main drawbacks and presenting the practical remarks and modeling requirements for both condition based maintenance (CBM) and time-based maintenance (TBM). Moreover, a new probabilistic model is proposed for time-based maintenance (TBM) in this paper.
