摘要
The microwave launcher-receiver is described for the wireless transfers of power at a useful distance for electric power of pure electric vehicle. The microwave electric power transfers method was introduced in this paper. This method can be applied to supply electricity to an unconventional vehicle without an internal combustion engine, a battery, or a drive train from the engine to the driving wheels and implements, but with electric motors. This method will make it possible to design an entirely new type of vehicle and can make up the defect of driving range insufficient by equipping the extended range wireless power on the vehicle. Some results on the use of microwave energy transfers for powering the pure electric vehicles are presented, and some problems such as microwave energy transfers efficiency are also discussed. A number of potential routes are suggested for further investigations and some possible applications of the technology are considered.
