摘要
This paper discusses the current use of refrigerants in Europe, including fluorochemicals, ammonia, and hydrocarbons. Each application is described and the projected needs are discussed. The European market is dominated by fluorochemical refrigerants. The projected amount is likely to shrink significantly. The share of hydrocarbons and ammonia should slightly increase, fi om 10% to 12% today up to similar to 15% due to the use of R-717 in industrial refrigeration.
