摘要：
We introduce a mammographic feature generator which can be used to evaluate image analysis algorithms for digital mammography. Several types of calcifications and focal lesions may be generated, synthetic noise may be added, and the features may be embedded into a digital mammogram. As an application we demonstrate the use of the generator in comparing the performance of two feature extraction algorithms.
