An increase in the sensitivity of a pulse-type detector for the nuclear quadrupole resonance spectrometer has been attained by optimizing the delay time for switching on the receiver after termination of an excitation pulse and by using an original circuit of the synchronous detector with a high dynamic range of 100 dB. The sensitivity of the nuclear quadrupole resonance spectrometer improved by using the developed detector is about twice as great as the spectrometer sensitivity before its upgrading. The spectrometer is capable of detecting 0.5 g of sodium nitrite.
