摘要
Bacterially mediated ionic mercury reduction to volatile Hg-o plays an important role in the biogeochemical cycling of mercury in contaminated freshwater hot spring. This process could be stimulated to reduce the concentration of inorganic mercury in the water. A study of the utility of this approach using a thermophilic Streptomyces, alongwith the mechanism is described.
