We showed that N-Ethyl-N-Nitrosourea (ENU) induces teratogenesis in larvae of the self-fertilizing fish Rivulus marmoratus. We discuss this and the issue of carcinogenesis caused by ENU. (C) 2002 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
