摘要
Results of research of operational features of a vacuum-arc plasma source with magnetically controlled cathode spot motion are submitted. Ferromagnetics (Ni, Fe) were used as cathode materials in plasma source investigated. Strength and geometry of magnetic fields distribution ensuring reliable ignition of the arc in the source, a stable burning of the cathode spot at the cathode working surface, and also its uniform erosion have been found by fitting of currents in the stabilizing and focusing coils and using the correcting ferromagnetic cores (concentrators).
