摘要
Surface plasmon resonance is a widely used phenomenon in chemical and biochemical analysis. Recently, a novel design of a fiber optical SPR sensor for refractive index and chemical sensing was reported which is based on the wavelength resolved principle [1]. In this paper we present a further improvement of the sensor performance. The main advantage of the sensor system is its easy adjustment to the application requirements due to the use of specific sensor tips and the modular configuration of the optics and optoelectronics. The sensor can be used for measurements of aqueous solutions directly in the medium. Details of the the sensor configuration and the sensor response will be presented.
