摘要
In this investigation, the Hybrid Fiber Concrete (HFC) was fabricated using polypropylene fiber (PP), sisal fiber (SF) and banana fiber (BF) and the mechanical and durability properties of the prepared concrete was investigated. Mix design of M30 grade concrete was prepared according the standard procedure given by American Concrete Institute. Nine different proportions of concrete specimens were fabricated and the various experimental investigations like compressive, split tensile, flexural, and durability tests were conducted on the HFC. Compressive, split tensile, and flexural test results showed that the M3 specimen (PP: SF: 1.5:0.5) displayed the maximum compressive, split tensile and flexural strength compared to that of conventional concrete (CC). Compressive strength of M3 showed 24.3% and 14.9% improvement compared to the compressive strength of CC at 7 days and 28 days curing, respectively. The split tensile test showed that the split tensile strength value of M3 was improved by 47.54% and 37.19% compared to that of CC at 7 days and 28 days curing, respectively. Flexural test revealed that the M3 specimen exhibited the maximum flexural strength of 5.58 N/mm(2) and 10.9 N/mm(2) after 7 days and 28 days curing. Further, the durability test resulted that the HFC specimen displayed the superior durability properties under various immersion mediacompared to CC.
