摘要
Due to varying atmospheric conditions, it is difficult to track maximum power point in wind energy conversion systems. As a remedy of this problem, a new MPPT technique is explored in this paper. At the wind turbine in order to sense the instantaneously change in wind speed, a MPPT controller is connected which controls the duty ratio of interleaved boost converter for tracking maximum power point. The MPPT proposed is easy to implement and is efficient to track the maximum power point accurately. The algorithm works through continuously investigating the rate of change of power with respect to the change in rotor speed. The proposed system consist of wind turbine, permanent magnet synchronous generator, MPPT controller and energy storage system. DC-DC interleaved boost converter is used which minimizes the ripples existing in the output and input current. The storage system used here provides an additional power support during the scenario of heavy load. Also it increases the flexibility, reliability and robustness of the system. The proposed algorithm is investigated in MATLAB/SIMULINK and results demonstrated that the proposed MPPT intelligently tracks the maximum power point.
