摘要
This paper is a follow up to the article "Information literacy in Europe: a literature review", which was published in the electronic journal Information Research in 2003. This paper examines the information literacy movement in Europe ten years later, since 2003, and provides an overview of some trends and developments. The overview is based on literature reviews, personal observations and involvement, and an exploratory study. The exploratory study attempted to understand the experience of those involved in the development of information-related competencies in European open and distance learning higher education institutions.
