摘要
The paper presents the physicochemical properties of natural zeolite modified by cobalt (II) ions, the effect of the solution pH, and the dose of zeolite on the effectiveness of phenol removal from aqueous solution. The experiment has confirmed the high effectiveness of phenol removal on Co zeolite. Co zeolite may be used in purification of water with increased phenol concentration. The phenol removal process is the most effective in an acidic environment (pH 2-4), which is caused by electrostatic interaction of the phenol-cobalt complex with the negative charge of the zeolite surface.
