Action of electric fields on physicochemical processes

摘要
The influence of the bulk electrization of dielectrics on their properties and physicochemical behavior is analyzed. The action of a bulk electric charge is found to be most efficient in heterogeneous systems and in processes involving external mass transfer and solid-phase reactions. It is shown that some physical properties of polarized dielectric compounds markedly change in the presence of E greater than or equal to 10(7)-10(6)-V/m electric fields.
