摘要
Recent developments in the mechanical industries made to evolve a lot of alloys which found immense application in the medical, automotive and aviation industries. Al 7075 alloy is such a high strength and corrosion resistant aluminium alloy. EDM is a non conventional machining process that is employed for hard to cut materials. In that case optimal parameter setting is of primary importance during its machining that involves multi objective optimisation problems. This paper deals with the multi objective optimisation of MRR and SR in Al7075 alloy using Grey relational analysis. In this paper single objective optimisation is found out initially using Taguchi's technique. And later the problem is converted into multi-objective and solved by Grey relational analysis. Experimental design has been made according to the L9 orthogonal array. ANOVA has been done individually and simultaneously to find out the significant factors affecting the single objective and multi objective problem. Mathematical models were also made to develop a relationship between the input and output process parameters. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
