This paper is aimed at giving a review on development status of China grape and wine industry in Recent 30 Years since reforming and opening up to the world from 4 respects, such as education, scientific research, production and regulation. After reviewed, the author made conclusions on five points. (1) A steady, high-quality scientific researching and teaching team for grape and wine has come into being. They have trained a large number of professional technicians for the industry. (2) The Chinese experts have constructed an international grape and wine scientific research platform. A large number of fruitful scientific researches have promoted the quality of grape and wine products and made the industry arrangement more scientific and reasonable. (3) The vineyards are expanded progressively and the grape yield increases fast. Among them, the wine grape area is relatively low in proportion. Grape varieties for red wines are of singularity; about 80% of the total is Cabernet Sauvignon. (4) The Chinese wine industry has gone through 4 stages, including small scale stage, stead developing stage, transition-fluctuating stage and accelerated development stage. The 6 leading producing regions of Chinese wine production are Jiaodong peninsula, Xinjiang, Changli, Huaizhuo basin, Tianjin and East side of Helan Mountain, accounting for 82.9% of state total output in 2007. (5) The state governments have made a series of relevant rules and regulatory documents of grape growing and wine making. They have improved the wine standard, named the original wines and carried out some protection work of geographic indications products, protected the healthy development of China grape and wine industry.
