摘要
It is well known, that particle size influences the surface of adhesive applied on the particles during the particleboard production. The purpose of this research was to determine how the size of beech (Fagus silvatica L) particles influences the surface and its coverage with the adhesive and to establish the possibility of the adhesive detection when fluorescent dye is added to the UF adhesive before blending. Beech wood particles from five different fractions were used. Particles were blended with the UF adhesive added by 0,05% of fluorescent dye prior blending. The results show that the surface covered with adhesive is increasing by decreasing the specific surface area of particles.
