摘要
This paper has described the vibration principle of multilayer piezoelectric transformer (MPT) and used the finite element analysis (FEA) to study the resonance characteristic of MPT. An advanced laser Doppler interferometer has been used to measure the displacement amplitudes along the longitudinal direction at half wave and full wave resonances of MPT under a series of input voltages. The results show that the measured and FEA calculated values are reasonable matched. It also shows that the relationships between displacement amplitudes along the longitudinal direction and input voltages are linear when the latter are below a certain level. The amplitudes step to a certain limit with the input voltages increasing above the level. The vibration displacement amplitudes of input part are a little larger than those of the Output one.
