摘要
Internet of Things (IoT) is a promising technology paradigm and research domain. Interconnection of smart devices, actuators, sensors and physical devices with the Internet results in corresponding constraints on resources such as energy consumption and forwarding efficiency. Named Data Networking (NDN) along with Software defined Networking (SDN) provide an outstanding platform to solve the issue in dense and heterogeneous IoT environment. Energy consumption of the sensor nodes after such huge deployment is a serious issue. It is impossible to recharge or replace the batteries in the sensor networks. So, the design of energy and power efficient sensor nodes is crucial that will improve the overall efficiency of the network. Efficient and in time transmission of important packet is also an issue in IoT scenarios. In dense IoT scenarios, Broadcast storm problem occurs because of the broadcast nature of NDN. Same type of packets cause this problem, In this paper, we proposed an Energy efficient Priority Forwarding that take advantage of the combination of NDN and SDN in IoT environment. Our scheme performs better in terms of average energy consumption, network life time and high priority packet transmission.
