摘要
A psychological online smoking cessation program was examined in terms of the effects of perceived self-efficacy, planning, and initiative for later abstinence. The study includes six measurement points in time, concluding with the results whether participants had succeeded to quit smoking for four weeks. Those of the N = 1,131 participants who had executed a plan ( Time 1) were more likely to take initiative by not smoking for one day ( Time 2). Highly self-efficacious participants were more likely to become abstinent later on, although they were not superior to the less self-efficacious participants at Time 2. A model was specified in which the initiative to quit mediated between planning and abstinence.
