摘要
Field studies were conducted at Agricultural Research Station, Gangavathi, during 2006 and 2007 to study the response of rice genotypes to different organics and NPK levels under system of rice intensification ( SRI) and traditional transplanting. The findings revealed that growing rice under SRI with 100% NPK recorded significantly higher mean grain yield of 76.56 q/ha than traditional transplanting with a grain yield of 64.76 q/ ha, resulting in an yield increase of 15 percent. Growing rice under SRI with purely organics did not result in higher grain yield. Among the genotypes the hybrid KRH 2 proved superior to BPT 5204 and Early Sona. More number of panicles per unit area, more filled grains per panicle and higher grain weight per plant have contributed to increased grain yield in the case of SRI as compared to traditional transplanting.
