摘要
Two different routes of synthesis of Ce(0.9)Gd(0.1)O(1.95) (CGO) nanopowders are presented; the ethylene glycol-metal nitrate polymerized complex solution method and the precipitation technique using ammonia as the precipitant agent. The powders characteristics were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface area and simultaneous thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis (TG/DTA). Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observations were used to determine the agglomeration degree of the powders, and the uniformity of the green compacts. The Hg-porosimetry results were used to investigate the pore size. The densification process was studied by constant heating rate dilatometry and isothermal sintering at different temperatures. Microstructural development of each sample at different sintering temperatures and times was followed by SEM.
