摘要
The computing progression is towards ubiquitous computing with many interesting happenings and severe challenges. MANET is a collection of intercommunicating mobile hosts forming a spontaneous network without using established network infrastructure and has established promising role in ubiquitous computing. MANET nodes mounted on moving vehicles, wearable devices & as personal medical devices are showing significant applications in the field of ubiquitous healthcare. Performance of MANETs largely depend upon the routing mechanism & nature of mobility. The aim of this paper is to evaluate, the performance of AODV protocol for different mobility models like Random Waypoint, Reference Point Group Mobility and Gauss Markov having varying network load & speed. We have evaluated, the performance metrics like network load, packet delivery fraction, and end-to-end delay with AODV Protocol using NS2 Simulator. Our experimental results suggest that AODV protocol with RPGM mobility model has optimized results for varying network load and speed.
