摘要：

A 53-year-old man with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy was evaluated for cough that had developed 3 months earlier, shortly after he had returned from extensive international travel. Laboratory evaluation revealed an absolute eosinophil count of 3800 to 4550 per cubic millimeter. Additional diagnostic tests were performed.
