摘要
It has been shown that mechanical milling is a very suitable and versatile method to produce nanocrystalline iron and titanium. Hot consolidation produces nearly fully dense compacts. The mechanical characteristics of the materials have been determined with use of high frequency acoustic microscopy. Compared to conventional metals, hardness was enhanced and elastic moduli were similar. (C) 2002 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
