摘要
Fibre induced distortions are demonstrated to limit the performance of externally modulated analogue CATV links at distances greater than or equal to 90 km. Degradations in both the composite second order and composite triple beat are observed. At optical modulation indices greater than or equal to 5.4% the residual chirp of the modulator could also introduce a significant amount of distortion.
