摘要
The paper presents a methodology for optimizing the distribution of the total gear ratio between the stages of multistage cylindrical gearboxes, while using the functional relationship between the axle distance and the gear ratio of gears, as well as the endurance of gearing on contact stresses. Application of the method for three- stage gearboxes with a total gear ratio u = 72,3 showed that, in contrast to the established point of view, the smallest overall dimensions and material consumption of the gearbox are ensured with an approximately uniform distribution of the total gear ratio between its stages.
