摘要
Enhance college students' willingness to communicate (WTC) in foreign language education has been brought into great focus in globalizing society. Willingness to communicate is influenced by cultural and value orientation. In this paper, the basic conception of WTC is introduced, and affective cultural factors, including face protection, inside group effect and hierarchical awareness are analyzed in Chinese foreign language setting. Suggestions are provided to overcome students' anxieties as well as enhance their motivation and WTC. Research on the intercultural communication willingness is helpful to intercultural study and further improves English teaching and learning.
