RARE CAUSE OF ACUTE MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION; CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) have been reported to induce apoptosis and inhibit cell proliferation in tumor celA cute coronary syndrome is rare in acute carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. Moreover, most of these cases with ST elevation have revealed non-occlusive or normal coronary arteries, but, in our case, we detected to be based on critical coronary artery lesions of ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (MI). We believe that ST elevation MI is associated with increased thrombogenic tendency due to CO poisoning which trigger coronary events in patients with underlying coronary artery disease (CAD). Therefore, careful electrocardiographic and enzymatic monitoring of all patients in the first hours after CO exposure is important for early diagnosis and treatment of this rare complication due to CO poisoning.
