摘要
The demands of environmental protection impose the use of flue gas cleaning systems in power plants. The flue gas desulphurisation plants (FGD), very advantageous from the point of environment protection, cause the cooling and increase the humidity of flue gas. It results in the intensive condensation of flue gas and their aggressive influence on the constructional elements of the chimneys. The best solution for the flue gas discharge after the application of FGD would be building a new chimney. Unfortunately, because of the dense building of the active power plant, such a solution is frequently impossible. In such cases, the attempts are made to use the old, technically used up chimneys, for the cooperation with FGD. The paper presents the problem of the adaptation of old reinforced concrete chimneys in power plants for the desulphurised flue gas. The general demands which have to be fulfilled in the case of industrial chimneys discharging flue gas from FGD were provided within the article. The examples of the utilization of reinforced concrete chimneys (H = 120 divided by 200 m) for the needs of flue gas desulphurisation plants were also presented.
