Cavity decoupling in external cavity FM diode lasers

摘要
It is shown analytically that as modulation frequencies commensurate with the external cavity mode separation, decoupling can occur between laser diodes and phase-modulators located in external cavities. This effect may be applicable to achieving optical isolation of laser diodes and can affect the mode suppression phenomena in external cavity diode lasers.
