Zusammenfassung Der vorliegende Kommentar skizziert die Entwicklung der Regulierung von Prostitution in Deutschland seit den 1980er-Jahren. Er geht auf das 2001 eingefuhrte Infektionsschutzgesetz (IfSG), das 2002 eingefuhrte Prostitutionsgesetz (ProstG) sowie auf das 2017in Kraft getretene Prostituiertenschutzgesetz (ProstSchG) ein und erklart, welche politischen Positionen hinter der Regulierung stehen. Zudem werden die Auswirkungen der Gesetzgebung auf die Sexarbeiter*innen kritisch beurteilt. Abstract The present commentary outlines the development of the regulation of prostitution in Germany since the 1980s. It discusses the Infection Protection Act (IfSG), which was introduced in 2001, the Prostitution Act (ProstG), which was introduced in 2002, and the Prostitutes Protection Act (ProstSchG), which came into force in 2017, and explains the political positions behind the regulation. The effects of the legislation on sex workers are also critically assessed.
