摘要：

The number of aspects of measurement and quality in the context of building design were discussed. The aspects of the Design Quality Indicator (DQI) and some other tools for building quality measurement were also discussed. It was observed that the high quality could be achieved by avoiding defined defects in performance, durability and functionality. It was stated that when clients are involved in quality assessment then there is considerable reliance on personal judgement instead of measurement.
