Acmaeoderopsis prosopis Davidson, sp. nov., is described and illustrated from specimens collected on Prosopis glandulosa Torr. in the central Mojave Desert of southern California. The following taxonomic change is proposed: Acmaeoderopsis peninsularis (Barr 1972), as a subspecies of A. junki Thery, 1929, stat. nov.
