摘要
Methods of designing filters for use in optical systems for applications where the axial focusing properties are important are considered. Two methods are described. One is based on the use of Laplace transforms. The second uses Fourier transformation of the axial amplitude variation. Properties of some filters for increasing depth of focus are described. Zone plate structures are considered. Designs for modification of Bessel beams to give constant axial intensity, or an axial cusp in intensity are described.
