Preparation of composite wollastonite powder with nano-structure surface

摘要
Composite wollastonite powder coated with nanometer particles was prepared by chemical method. The FSEM, XRD and specific surface area testing instrument were used to characterize the composite wollastonite powders. Processing parameters, such as the concentration of calcium hydroxide, had great affect on the surface structure of composite wollastonite powders. The structure of nano-particles coated on the wollastonite was calcite. The specific surface area of composite wollastonite powder was three times more than that of untreated wollastonite powders. The mechanism of the coating process was discussed.
