Splenic abscesses have a rare incidence. The treatments of choice are percutaneous drainage for single abscesses and splenectomy for multiple abscesses. Here we report a patient suffering from Crohn's disease of the colon with a rare extraintestinal complication: splenic abscess. The patient was successfully treated by laparoscopic splenectomy.
